2) I have my GRE 28th of July, Can I get a 2 month study plan from GREedge?
To create a personalized study plan, GREedge follows the following process.
1) Diagnostic Test: The first step towards making a proper study plan is identification of weaker and stronger areas. This diagnostic test will help you understand exactly that. These tests should be taken from places that are reliable and should match GRE standards. You can click on the below mentioned link and follow the process to take the diagnostic test.
Process :
1) Click on START LEARNING NOW after registering
2) A pop up of Learning Tracker (LT) would open, click on R: Verbal Diagnostic Test and R: Quant Diagnostic Test
3) Take these tests and know where you stand. Anyone can take these tests from GREedge.
4) Analysis and Study plan is provided usually, after a student enrolls with GREedge, finishes the diagnostic tests and fills the orientation questionnaire, the SFA (Student Facilitator & Analysts) also known personal trainers, analyses the diagnostic tests performance and gives a detailed personalized study plan. You have to just follow this study plan to get the target score you want. However, the personalized study plans & SFAs are exclusively available only to students who join GREedge and not everybody.
3) Geometry or Data Interpretation, which chapter carries more weightage in GRE?
There is no way to determine how many geometry questions can be asked in a section but with data interpretation you can be certain that atleast 4 questions will appear in the GRE exam.
There is one added advantage with Data Interpretation. Once you understand the data that is being presented to you in the form of Line graph, Bar graph, Pie chart or Table, you can easily get 4 questions right by just understanding one data chart or data flow. But it initially takes time to understand a Data Interpretation question since there are too many things to process such as data trends, percentage increase or decrease and the variables for which the data is given.
So practice is the key and once it is perfected, you can easily increase your raw score in each quant section just with Data Interpretation questions alone. With Geometry there are a few things to be considered. It can be featured in quantitative comparison or numerical entry or even multiple answer choice questions.
So more training period is required for geometry since the way an answer is presented varies with the question type. Also the number of geometry questions that can be featured in an exam is very erratic so perfecting this topic can be an advantage or completely useless based on how many questions are featured on your exam day.
Having said all that, geometry questions always feature in the exam so preparing for it is necessary although more weightage can be given to Data Interpretation based on the reasons I have stated earlier.
